FSW Conversations Season 2, Episode 4: Heidi Svane Pedersen
FSW chats with digital sustainability expert Heidi Svane Pedersen about sustainable fashion, digital product passports, and how digital tools can help build a cleaner future for fashion and luxury.
Sustainability is no longer a vanity metric or a corporate responsibility bullet point for fashion and luxury brands. It is well known that the fashion industry contributes 10% of global carbon emissions annually. The European Union’s Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) comes into effect in December 2025, giving fashion and luxury brands 18 months to comply with a number of transparency measures, including Digital Product Passports (DPP), that will track compliance with required sustainability data and content requirements.
In this fourth episode of season two of FSW Conversations, FSW co-publisher Jessica Quillin chats with Heidi Svane Pedersen, a thought leader at the intersection of fashion, circular business models, and digital innovation. As head of digital for the Lifestyle and Design Cluster in Copenhagen, she helps brands leverage cutting-edge technologies like AI and blockchain to enhance transparency, reduce waste, and drive meaningful change in the industry.
